The Supreme Court of India has now made free Wi-Fi available for attorneys, litigants, media professionals, and other stakeholders in a significant move to improve digital access in the court.
With effect from tomorrow (July 3, 2023), the facility may be utilised in the Chief Justice’s Court, Court numbers 2 to 5, the corridor and plaza in front of the Courts, press lounges I and II, and both waiting spaces in front of the plaza canteen.
You can use the service by signing into SCI_WiFi. A One-Time Password (OTP), which may be used for authentication and login, will be issued to the user after entering his or her cellphone number.
According to a circular published by the Supreme Court, free internet connection will eventually be made available in other locations, including all courtrooms, adjacent spaces, bar libraries I and II, the women bar room and the bar lounge.
