On April 9, the Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre will hold its 13th Annual International Conference.

“The Evolving Arbitration Framework in India – Challenges and Opportunities” will be the theme of the conference.

The one-day conference will take place on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, with; Justice V Ramasubramaniam delivering the keynote address (Judge, Supreme Court of India).

Lord Wolfson, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice in the United Kingdom, will also deliver a special address.

Two international and two domestic sessions will be  address important current and contentious issues in arbitration law.

Mark McNeill, Andrew Pullen, V. Niranjan, Rajat Jariwal, Atul Sharma, Ankit Khushu, Prateek Jain, Shourav Lahiri, Nandini Khaitan, Samar Singh Kachwaha, Zoheb Hossain, and Avinash Pradhan are among those who will speak this year.

In the afternoon, in the customary March of Law Session, Anirudh Krishnan will highlight important developments in arbitration law.

Amita Gupta Katragadda, Tahira Karanjawala, Naira Jejeebhoy, and Hina Shaheen are among the speakers at the popular Young Turks Session.

The Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre is the country’s most prestigious institutional arbitration body. Founded in 2005 as a non-profit organisation under Section 25 of the Companies Act 1956, the NPAC is guided by an outstanding Governing Council led by Justice M N Venkatachaliah, the former Chief Justice of India. The NPAC has a Board of Directors that; oversees the arbitration centre in Chennai as well as the rest of the organization’s operations. Every month, the Centre holds over 75 arbitration hearings.

The conference will take place in a hybrid format. It can be attended in person at; Shangri-Eros La’s Hotel, 19 Ashoka Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001, or virtually via NPAC’s special platform.

It will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
