Jammu court has prohibited the creators of ‘The Kashmir Files’ from showing scenes depicting late Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna.

An interim injunction  issued by a Jammu court on Thursday prohibiting the creators of the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ from broadcasting parts in the film depicting late Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna [Nirmal Kumari alias Shalini Khanna V/s Director ‘The Kashmir Files and others].

The injunction issued in response to a lawsuit filed by the late Squadron Leader’s wife, who claimed that; the scenes are not factually accurate and defamed her late husband.

It noted that; the order is subject to any objections, amendments, or modifications made by the other party.

In her complaint, the plaintiff alleged that; she  attended the movie’s premiere when she realised that; the facts about her deceased spouse  misrepresented and were not based on true facts.

The defendants were given; the option of filing an application to vacate the interim order even before the case’s next scheduled date, March 19.

On behalf of the plaintiff, Advocates Himanshu Beotra and Rohan Kidar Sharma appeared.
