ALL POLICE STATIONS MUST HAVE DISPLAY BOARDS INFORMING ABOUT THE RIGHT TO LEGAL AID AND AVAILABILITY OF FREE LEGAL AID SERVICES: Justice Lalit

Justice Lalit went on to say that such notice boards/posters are the first steps toward ensuring that; no accused person is left unrepresented during any stage of the criminal investigation or trial, giving them every opportunity to defend themselves.

Justice U.U. Lalit was the Chief Guest at an event hosted by the Haryana Legal Services Authority under the auspices of NALSA; where he launched a year-long campaign entitled “Quality of Legal Services is Key to Access to Justice for All”. During the occasion, Justice Lalit showed an educational video about the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act of 2015, an animated video about the right to free legal aid, and different posters with information about free legal aid services. He also opened Video Conferencing facilities in 22 DLSAs and Kids Zones in 18 DLSAs across Haryana.

During the occasion, he presented posters with information about the right to legal assistance and; the provision of free legal aid services, which would be placed in all Haryana police stations.
