Justice Venu Gopal Gowda, former Judge of the Karnataka High Court, was all praise for young Sarah as she attended an arbitration procedure with her colleagues from thiru & thiru law business.
Sarah Sunny was born deaf to her parents, Sunny and Betty, yet this did not prevent her from making history. She rose through the ranks of India’s legal system thanks to her determination and hard work; becoming the country’s first deaf lawyer, a watershed moment in the country’s legal history.
Sarah is amazing because, despite growing up in a world of quiet, she has become a voice for others like her.
She is a passionate lawyer and an avid dancer who has no intention of letting her disability stand in the way of her dreams.
We tend to overlook everyday heroes when thinking of groundbreaking women. But, after hearing Sarah’s tale, we felt there could be no greater way to commemorate International Women’s Day. And Sarah was more than willing to tell her story to the rest of the world.
