The Guide to The Digital Personal Data Protection Act,2023 carries Key Highlights of the entire Legislation. The DPDP Act does not apply to non-personal data and is focused on digital personal data. Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practises and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data of Information) Rules, 2011 (collectively referred to as the “SPDI Rules”) shall be replaced by the provisions of the DPDP Act once they go into effect.
