OPENING OF COURT IN PUNJAB AND HARYANA AFTER PANDEMIC

In an order dated 08.01.2021 from the office of Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court; the Chief Justice of the State issued an order to all the District and Session Judges of Punjab, Haryana, and UT Chandigarh for granting of permission for physical hearing in all kinds of cases. The opening of the court shall be subject to the prevailing local conditions of a pandemic. And the Guidelines issued by the health advisory and the respective state shall be strictly adhered to. The Chief Justice in this order requests that; All the district and session judges submit the weekly report of their work as time and duration of sitting in the court of every judicial officer; a number of cases listed before every judicial officer;  and disposal of cases of each day.

The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendence of Police, Health Surgeon, and other health authorities shall after consultation with the Respective Bar Council, sort out all the problems in case of physical hearing.
